Turene Jones

Turene has worked in various roles, blending creativity with operational leadership. Experience within the supplier side of the real estate industry allowed her to develop a productive team dynamic, manage advertising campaigns, and foster innovation to drive business success. Prior to this, she worked in the beauty industry, customer care, administration, and even taught English in South Korea.

With a passion for academics, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Psychology, along with a minor in Criminology, a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Drama (First Class Honours) followed by a Master of Creative Writing (First Class Honours). Beyond her corporate and academic endeavours, Turene has a proven track record as a playwright, winning numerous awards with Creative New Zealand and Playmarket. 

Hailing from Rotorua and a descendant of Te Arawa and Rongowhakaata, Turene is deeply connected to her Māori roots. Outside the workplace, she is a passionate traveller, having explored regions across Oceania, Europe, the US and Asia. She is an avid reader and hopes to one day publish the novel she completed during her Masters degree.

Turene is hardworking, a team player and strives for the best outcomes for both clients and colleagues. With a versatile skill set adaptable to a range of settings, she puts genuine care into everything she does.
