The Goodwin Group's Sales and Property Management offices now operating under the umbrella of Ray White Real Estate have been servicing the property needs of residents in Mt Albert and its surrounding central/west suburbs in excess of 20 years.
The Principal and Managing Director of Goodwin Real ty Ltd, Ashley M. Goodwin, began his career in the Real Estate Industry in 1973. Ashley is a third generation Realtor. In 1981, after a change of direction from listing and selling real estate, with widely renowned Auction experts, Gladding, Keys and Neil, Ashley commenced working as a Trainee Manager with the leading Real Estate Company of the day, Belton's Real Estate. Within a short period of time, and having accepted the challenge, he was appointed Manager of both the Remuera and Kohimarama branches. He later moved to Mount Albert, an area he was familiar with, to take control of that office. Ashley has never looked back … In 1988, he became an Associate Member of the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand, and in 1991 he bought the Mount Albert office [then operating under the umbrella of United Realty World] and now recognised as the cornerstone of the Goodwin Group.
Goodwin Realty remains a family owned and operated business, and since its beginning 17 years ago, has expanded its coverage by establishing branch offices at Avondale, Mount Eden and Point Chevalier, and more recently a Property Management and Rental office in Wellesley Street, Central Auckland.
The Goodwin Group now comprises a sales team in excess of 35 professional salespeople working alongside a dedicated Financial Services Team. The company is also proud to have developed a nationally recognized Property Management Team, engaging 10 Property Managers and associated support staff.
Ashley's depth of contact, particularly in the Mount Albert neighbourhood is absolute. There are few houses that the Goodwin Team hasn't sold over the last 25 years!! Ashley also gets satisfaction, knowing, that from his successful business, during this period, have developed some very fine Realtors, all trained in the "Goodwin" way; a number progressing to business ownership and taking positions of management within other companies.
As a member of Ray White Real Estate, the Goodwin Group is thriving. Almost 1,000 individual offices are spread across Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, China and Thailand. With an annual sales turnover consistently exceeding $3 billion per month, Ray White today provides a broad range of real estate and related property services. Managing some 200,000 rental properties last year, and commercial sales approaching $1.5 billion per annum.
Alongside Ashley and, his daughter Catherine, now acting in position of General Manager to the Goodwin Group, the Sales Teams are lead strongly by Peter McLean, Susan Woods-Markwick, Phil Weingott and Simon Short. Brent Sullivan ‘drives’ business development of Goodwin Property Management.
The Mount Albert office, has in the past, been regularly nominated top office within the New Zealand network, for both settled sales and dollar value sold ,and also featured in the top 5 International, Ray White Offices. Ashley continues to receive accolade as a market leader in both the Ray White Group and the Real Estate Industry generally.
